I have lived in this world for thirty seven years. I am a single guy who had interesting phases in the nightlife. My nightlife was not eventful in college, and I would like to forget about it. It became somewhat interesting after college. I was at times my brother’s designated driver so I was usually sober when I would go to a bar with my brother and his friends. My brother and his crew were not a rowdy bunch, and it was manageable to hang with them. Anyway, I will get into more details in the next paragraphs.
After college, I enlisted in the Navy and it is where my nightlife became interesting. I met this blonde woman in Great Lakes. We went out and enjoyed spending time together. It was innocent needless to say. Then I went to this bar called the Anchor. It is where my nightlife became one series of fun events. There were wet t-shirt contest and burlesque show that I saw at the Anchor. Then I found a bar in Kenosha, Wisconsin called the Barn. Happy hours was crazy there. They had 75 cents the drink and I drank like Tucker Max. The barn eventually burned down, but I have visited other places in Kenosha, Wisconsin. My first stint in Great Lakes ended, and I reported to Yokosuka for duty. I stayed low key for a few months. We went on deployment and I began getting into the nightlife again.
On deployment, I enjoyed Thailand as much as anyone can. In Australia, I visited the stripper bar and the Vic. I drank a lot of Victoria bitter and I did the same thing in Saipan. I returned to Yokosuka and I started going on dates with the local women. It was interesting needless to say. I met a woman in Roppongi and we dated for a few months then we drifted apart. My time in Japan was a lot of dates with Japanese women in Tokyo, Yokohama and Kamakura. Then my stint in Japan ended. I came back to the USA. I reported to Norfolk, Virginia. I got involved with a few women simultaneously. They just happened to live in three different towns. It made thing easy for me. I did that for a little bit, then my nightlife started slowing down. The deployments made settling down at the time hard.
Anyway, I learned a few things from the nightlife and dating. There are interesting people to meet and date. There is a little bit of Tucker Max in me. I made the most of my single life and I will tell more in blogs.
